Job Title: Event Intern

General Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Marketing and Event Coordinator, assists in the day-to-day administration of events which fund the Frankie Lemmon School & Development Center. This person will also report to the Executive Director and Assistant Event Coordinator for assignments.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manages online registrations using Donor Care software under supervision of the Marketing and Event Coordinator.
  2. Responsible for daily administrative activities involving events, including, but not limited to meeting preparation, general office organization, preparing mailings, maintain filing system, gathering permits and answering the phones.
  3. Reviews and edits all print media written by Marketing and Event Coordinator.
  4. Coordinates with representatives from all necessary venues in which events are held to secure necessary details pertaining to individual events.
  5. Be in attendance at necessary events including: Women & Wine of the Triangle Function, Saks Want It! Fashion Show, Paulee, Ed Shook Golf Tournament & Triangle Uncorked. NOTE: Some nights and weekends will be required to get the full event planning experience.
  6. Develops creative marketing strategies to increase branding of organization.

Qualifications: Coursework toward a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Knowledge in Microsoft Software components and overall computer skills are essential.

Status: Internship, hours determined by school requirements and agreed upon by both the Foundation and Intern.
Salary: Unpaid internship, school-credit available
